Vintage Nancy Drew Books Bundle

This is a bundle of 11 hardback Nancy Drew vintage books by Carolyn Keene and published by Grosset & Dunlap between 1957 and 1986. Each book has about four to six interior illustrations. While these are resilient hardback library editions, they all show wear due to age and use, with some showing more wear than others. Please review the specific details listed below for each volume.

The Bungalow Mystery (#3), 1960:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine remains tight, which is good for this older book. Its pages are mostly clean, although they show some foxing, other brown marks, and light age yellowing. You will also find a few small dog-ears among the pages. The covers show light corner bumps and light rubbing. Additionally, a small rectangular stain from an old sticker is present on the cover. Finally, the lower short edge has a rubber-stamped name belonging to the previous owner.

Nancy’s Mysterious Letter (#8), 1968:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine is cocked, meaning it shifts diagonally, but it remains solid. Its pages are mostly clean, showing only light age yellowing throughout. The covers have some light corner bumps from handling.

Password to Larkspur Lane (#10), 1966:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine stays tight, so the pages feel secure. Pages are clean, but they exhibit mild age yellowing. Furthermore, the edges show some noticeable brown staining. The covers have light corner bumps and some light rubbing along the edges.

Mystery of the Brass-Bound Trunk (#17), 1976:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine stays tight, keeping the pages secure. Pages are clean with only mild age yellowing present. However, the bottom edge has two small red dots marking it. The covers have light corner bumps and some light rubbing.

Mystery of the Moss-Covered Mansion (#18), 1971:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine remains tight for good page security. Pages are clean and show mild age yellowing. Additionally, the long edge has a small brown stain on it. The covers show light corner bumps and some light rubbing.

The Clue of the Leaning Chimney (#26), 1967:

This book is in poor condition overall. The spine is cocked diagonally and feels loose. Heavy wear is present on the edges, and clear tape was used for a repair. A library sticker is affixed to the lower edge. Pages show some light foxing and staining throughout, along with mild age yellowing. The edges have significant foxing and some small stains. Moreover, the covers display heavy corner bumps, heavy rubbing, and heavy foxing.

The Clue of the Velvet Mask (#30), 1969:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine is lightly cocked, meaning it shifts slightly diagonally, but it remains tight. Pages are mostly clean, though some foxing and mild age yellowing are visible. The lower edge shows slight foxing. The covers have light corner bumps and some light rubbing.

The Haunted Showboat (#35), 1957:

This book is in good condition overall. The spine feels slightly loose, suggesting age. Its pages remain clean with only mild age yellowing. Additionally, the lower edge has some mild foxing marks. The covers show heavy corner wear, along with light corner bumping and light rubbing.

The Clue of the Dancing Puppet (#39), 1986:

This book is in very good condition overall. The spine stays tight, but it has a 0.5-inch wear mark on it. Pages are clean, showing only mild age yellowing. The front leaf contains an inscription reading: “To Andrea | Christmas 1989 | Love, Nana.” The edges are mostly clean. The covers show light corner wear, and the front cover has sticker residue at the upper-left corner.

The Clue in the Crossword Cipher (#44), 1967:

This book is also in poor condition due to water damage on the upper half. The spine remains tight, surprisingly. Pages are warped from the water damage but are mostly clean with mild age yellowing. The edges are clean but warped. Furthermore, the covers are warped and stained from the water damage, showing moderate corner bumping and wear, plus light rubbing. The back cover has a small rectangular black mark covering an old price mark.

The Crooked Banister (#48), 1971:

This book is in fair condition overall. The spine is tight and holds the pages well. Pages are mostly clean, but they have a few small dog-ears and mild age yellowing. The edges remain mostly clean. The covers have general corner wear, bumping, small nicks, scratches, and rubbing. Finally, the back cover has heavy foxing along the spine and some light soiling.
