St. Vincent de Paul San Diego

St. Vincent de Paul Village is the cornerstone of San Diego’s fight to prevent and end homelessness one life at a time. As a one-stop center to address all of the rehabilitative needs of the homeless, St. Vincent de Paul offers a comprehensive array of housing and supportive services.

Father Joe’s Villages understands that there are no one-size-fits-all housing solutions for San Diego’s Homeless population. That is why we offer a variety of options that help clients get off the streets and into a safe place to call home.

With 41% of all available transitional housing beds in San Diego, St. Vincent de Paul Village is the largest residential homeless services provider in the county. With our “Housing First” mentality, our neighbors in need can receive help with both transitional and permanent housing.

While stable housing is the ultimate target, there are a multitude of steps that an individual may need to address before reaching that point. With our supportive services, we focus on the issues contributing to each client’s homelessness and aim for a rapid return to permanent housing as the primary goal.

St. Vincent is more than a homeless shelter in San Diego. Tenants here may receive services that help them find employment or focus on maintaining their health and wellness. St. Vincent de Paul is home to the federally qualified Family Health Center, which offers primary and pre-natal care, as well as mental health counseling, addiction and dental services.
