How do I donate cash to Father Joe's Villages?
Donations can be made online via credit, debit card or Pay Pal by visiting our secure donation form or you can send a check payable to Father Joe’s Villages to our administrative office:

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Father Joe’s Villages is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your cash donation is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent allowed by law. A donation receipt will be provided to you that provides the details of your contribution.
Will I get a receipt for my donation?
Yes, once your donation has been processed, you will receive a confirmation letter and receipt that you can keep for your personal records.
What forms of payment does Father Joe’s Villages accept?
Father Joe’s Villages accepts the following forms of payment for monetary contributions:

• Checks
• Money Order
• All major credit cards: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover
• PayPal
• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) through your personal bank account

Can I make a gift in honor of or in tribute to a loved one?
Yes. Our online donation form includes the option to donate in honor or memory of someone. If you are donating online, please select the honor/memorial option at the top of the form and complete the form with honoree and recipient notification information.

If you are mailing in your donation, please be sure to include a note stating the name of the honoree, and please include the name and address of the recipient that you would like us to notify regarding the donation.
Can I direct contributions to Father Joe’s Villages in lieu of flowers to honor someone’s passing?
If you would like to have donations made in lieu of flowers to honor the passing of a loved one, please direct them to our online donation form or provide the following contact information for donations:

How can I sign up to make a monthly gift or alter my current monthly gift?
If you would like to set up a recurring monthly gift, please use our secure online donation form and select the Recurring option at the top of the form. By selecting this option, your monthly contribution will be made on the same day each month for the duration of time that you state on the form. To change your monthly gift amount, payment method, or to stop your monthly donation, contact us at 619-446-2103.
What do I do with cash donations collected by a group for Father Joe’s Villages?
Mail Donation
Please do not mail cash as it is not safe. If you and the donors would like to receive individual donation receipts, please have the donors download this form and fill it out. Be sure to include their donation amount.
If they cannot use the form, then please include a note with their full name, donation amount and mailing address of each donor. Then, transfer each cash donation into a cashier’s check or money order and mail the donation and the donor information to Father Joe’s Villages.

If you only need one receipt for the entire amount of donations, download the donation form and include the name and contact information for the organization and total contribution amount. Then, transfer the cash into a cashier’s check or money order and mail it to Father Joe’s Villages.
We do not recommend depositing the cash into a personal bank account and then writing a personal check as that donation will only be attributed to you, and we will only be able to issue a tax receipt to you and not the other donors.
Drop-Off Donation
Cash donations may also be dropped off at our administrative office located at 3350 E Street, San Diego, CA 92102. Please bring a completed cash donation form. You may drop off cash donations during regular business hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (holidays excluded).
What is Father Joe’s Villages Federal Tax ID number?
Father Joe’s Villages’ is a not-for-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code section 501 (C)(3). Tax ID number is: St. Vincent de Paul Village Inc. 33-0492302
Does Father Joe’s Villages have a matching gifts program?
Yes, Father Joe’s Villages accepts matching gifts through employer matching gift programs. This is a simple way to double your donation. Most employers require you to fill out a simple form detailing the donation you made, or volunteer hours worked. We will handle the verification process. Please check with your employer to see if they match employee charitable contributions or volunteer hours.
How do I send in my company’s matching gift form?
First, make sure donations to Father Joe’s Villages meet your company’s requirements for matching (some companies can only provide a match for specific types of institutions). Once you have verified that your company will match a gift to our organization, please complete your company’s form and then email it to us at donation@neighbor.org, or send it to:

Once we confirm that we have received your gift, we will complete the appropriate matching gift paperwork and send it to your company for processing.
Does Father Joe’s Villages accept stock donations?
Talk to your broker about what stock donation works best for you and can make the greatest impact.
Then, contact a Gift Officer at stocks@neighbor.org or 619-446-2112. We will provide the information you need to make your transfer and issue a tax deduction receipt.

How can I reduce the amount or frequency of the mail I receive from Father Joe’s Villages?
If you wish to reduce the amount of mail you receive from Father Joe’s Villages, please call us at 619-446-2103 or email donation@neighbor.org. There are various options for reduced mailing schedules and we welcome your call to discuss these options with you.
How long will it take before I stop receiving mail from Father Joe’s Villages?
