We are celebrating Women’s History Month this March at Father Joe’s Villages! The National Women’s History Alliance sets a theme for the month every year. This year’s theme is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.”
We have seen women make incredible strides forward in recent history and yet, we continue to see women disproportionately affected by homelessness. In 2023, the number of unsheltered females experiencing homelessness significantly increased by 45%. At Father Joe’s Villages, we have programs specifically designed for women and mothers experiencing homelessness that help remove the barriers to resources and care they desperately need.
Women at Father Joe’s Villages are changing lives every day, and we must continue to honor women and organizations in our society who work for basic inclusion, equality and fairness.
