Last month we celebrated Anthony Ramirez, Charles Torrence, and Oskar Villarberg on their graduation from our Culinary Arts Program (CAPs)! With the leadership and support of our phenomenal Culinary Arts Instructor Helen Coyne, these three individuals received comprehensive on-the-job training experiences similar to those in commercial food service establishments. Completion of this program is no easy feat as it involves three months of advanced technical training in the kitchen and classroom.
Strengthening Self-Sufficiency is one of our four pillars of care here at Father Joe’s Villages, and this accomplishment represents the hard work and determination of our graduates and staff. Many individuals have participated in the program, but because of the many challenges our clients face along with COVID-19 crisis, this was our very first graduation ceremony. We look forward to helping more neighbors prosper in 2024.
