INVESTING IN
A BRIGHTER SAN DIEGO

Watchdog organizations say that top-rated charities should spend at least 75% of their budget on services. Father Joe’s Villages works hard to ensure that as much as your money as possible goes directly to progams helping our neighbors in need. That’s why 83% of our combined revenue goes directly towards our life-changing programs and services.

“When you invest in Father Joe’s Villages, you are investing in people who will get personally involved at the core level of homelessness. In the end we have to get to people who are on the street and forge a path for them to get back on their feet. This is what Father Joe’s Villages does. This is where the ROI comes from.”

IRS Forms & Financial Reports

Father Joe’s Villages is made up of two tax-exempt charitable organizations: S.V.D.P. Management, Inc. and St. Vincent de Paul Village, Inc. In addition to providing administrative support functions to both agencies, S.V.D.P. Management functions as a developer, owner, and operator of properties designed to serve our community’s poor and homeless. Our extensive array of programs and supportive services is housed under St. Vincent de Paul Village, Inc. Each organization files a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to provide information to the public on the organization’s finances, public support and activities. Form 990 is the federal tax return that most public charities are required to submit annually. This form is used by the IRS to assess the organization’s compliance with tax law. The information contained in the form includes a summary of the organization’s activities, assets, receipts and expenditures, as well as the compensation of directors, officers and some other employees.

Below you will also find our IRS Forms 990 and audited financial reports which include footnotes describing each organization’s financial operations.

“We must work together to invest in the future of San Diego. Donations from local businesses, foundations and individuals are the only way to make these critical programs possible.”
