Father Joe’s Villages was voted San Diego’s Best Charity in the 2018 Union-Tribune Readers Poll.

San Diego Union-Tribune Reader’s Poll

For 10 years, the San Diego Union-Tribune has had their readers vote for their selections in more than 175 categories for San Diego County’s “Best of the Best.” This year, we are honored to announce that Father Joe’s Villages was voted “San Diego’s Best Charity” in the 2018 San Diego Union-Tribune Readers Poll.

To kick off the Readers Poll each year, San Diegans nominate the businesses and individuals they think deserve recognition. Once the nomination period ends, the top 10 companies or individuals in each category are placed on the ballot. Ballots are then cast online for San Diego Union-Tribune readers to vote on. After being nominated by readers in an initial vote, Father Joe’s Villages stood out as the best among 10 other nominated charities— including The Salvation Army and Union Gospel Mission.

For over 60 years, Father Joe’s Villages has worked to end homelessness in San Diego one life at a time. We have had the privilege of working alongside other great companies in our pursuit to create a brighter San Diego.

Support from the San Diego Community

We choose to support Father Joe’s Villages because they are committed to driving real change in San Diego, not just placing a bandaid on the situation. We have a duty to give back to the community we belong to, especially with organizations that share our own company values. Our associates know that that there are people here who need extra support in getting back on their feet and breaking the cycle of poverty and Father Joe’s is helping overcome this in the right ways.
