I love Thanksgiving. It’s the time of year that celebrates the people and events that enrich our lives.
I look forward to being surrounded by my loved ones, the comfort of traditions and a table full of guests.
This year, the Thanksgiving table at our home will look different. My family plans to set a place to remind us of those who will not have a delicious meal and warm shelter—our neighbors who are homeless and in need.
While at Father Joe’s Villages, I have learned that on any given night there are 8,700 homeless individuals who have no place to call their own. They have no place to sleep and nothing to eat. Theirs is a feeling of helplessness and being abandoned.
With Father Joe’s Villages’ programs and services, we reach and help these homeless neighbors every day.
But we cannot do it without you.
Only your donations can assist our homeless neighbors to receive shelter, meals, healthcare and more.
For example, your donation of $44.31 can provide three daily meals to a homeless neighbor for one week. If you donate $174.66, you can provide a family who is homeless three nights of shelter at our Village.
