Mary McDonald has been with Father Joe’s Villages since January 2014. Her work includes raising cash, household donations and donor relations. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, primarily in Michigan where she served as the executive director of an agency serving runaway youth and families and as the program officer for a community foundation. In these roles she raised funds annually from both individuals and foundations.
Mary came to California in 2007 as a member of the faculty of the University of San Diego’s School of Leadership Studies, teaching and conducting research on the nonprofit and philanthropic sector.
Mary received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University through her research in the area of community collaboration and the effects of social networking.
